F.A.Q

When do you meet?

April through October

We meet every Thursdays evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Country Style Bistro located on north side of Center Street between Bathurst and Dufferin St. for an approximate 2 hour ride. We depart promptly at 7:00 so some riders prefer to get there earlier for a bite to eat before setting off.

On Sunday mornings, we meet at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast, with our ride departing at 10:00 a.m. Our meeting place is the same as Thursdays night. These rides can be either a half-day or a full-day ride, depending on the chosen destination that weekend. Check the calendar page for changes to the ride schedule.

During the off season

We meet at the same Country Style Bistro on Thursdays  evenings at 8:00 p.m. for coffee and "tall tales". Sunday morning breakfasts also still happen for those who are interested.

How do I join?

The best way to find out whether you want to join is to come out and ride with us. We meet at least twice per week during the riding season. Come out to one of our regular rides (Sunday or Thursday evening) and get to know us. If you like us and the way we ride, and we like you too, then we'd be happy to add you as a member. You can ask more questions about the club by sending an email to contact.

How much does it cost to join the club?

Our  membership fee is $75.00 for the first year and 50.00 for renewals. Non-riding family members/passengers are welcome to join rides and/or events at no additional cost.

Is there a minimum cc size motorcycle?

We prefer that your bike be at least 250 cc  and up. Smaller size bikes may find it difficult and unsafe to maintain pace with the group in traffic for extended periods of time. Also, their range between refueling stops may be less than that of the rest of the group.

Do we need a full M license to join?

No, however we would prefer at least a M2 license since our rides sometimes take us onto some 400 series highways as well as involving some late evening riding, both of which are prohibited with an M1 license.

Are there any other restrictions?

Yes, we are an alcohol and drug free club. This means that no alcoholic beverages are to be consumed during group rides. Other than that, we just ask everyone to exercise common sense and respect towards their fellow riders for the safety and enjoyment of all.

Do you ever go on any overnight or multi-day trips?

Yes, we like to have a variety of rides during the season, depending on what is desired by the members. There are usually a couple of extended rides planned but everyone is welcomed and encouraged to suggest and/or help organize further rides to such destinations as they may wish to visit. Some of our members also travel quite extensively on personal trips and usually welcome others to join them as well.
